Casting Crowns

Anyone else really like this band? I love their musical style. Their lyrics are so hard-hitting and topical, and yet gentle and simply beautiful. I love their songs - my favourite at the moment is "Love Them Like Jesus" - it's been an inspiration to me lately.

I love Casting Crowns! "Love Them Like Jesus" is a really great song, but I have to say my all-time favorite is "Voice Of Truth." Their newest album is amazing - "Praise You In This Storm" really speaks volumes to people who need a little pick-me-up.

I totally agree! It is difficult to pick a favourite though, isn't it? Actually, I first discovered Casting Crowns through 'Voice of Truth' on an online radio website and went to buy their first album... and I've played it so much since that I'm starting to get a little bored with the songs on that one 
I had a really hard time getting their second, as the only place you can buy Christian music in my city is this little shop and I reserved it, my dad didn't tell me the shop had phoned to say it was in and someone bought it, all within the space of a few days.
But I do have it now, obviously  I like 'Praise You In This Storm' too. I always find that there's a song of theirs that I can relate to especially at a particular time, that reminds me of something I'm going through. That one is certainly powerful. I love 'Father, Spirit, Jesus' too - I'm a big fan of their rocky, upbeat numbers (because you can dance around to them, hehe).

Aww, I'm jealous now. I had a look, but my computer couldn't handle the song clips  Maybe I'll have to go buy something and listen instead

Actually you can listen to one or two of the songs we're talking about at http://www.cmradio.net. Choose the 'best mix' section then the WMP stream - there's a requesting facility in the player. They definitely have 'Voice of Truth' but I'm not sure about any others.

Oh, yeah, it's always hard to narrow favorites down to one or two. I kind of wish we didn't get sick of songs, but if that happened, there'd be no point in making new music. Which would sort of defeat the purpose of actually making music in the first place...
Hehe, I reserved their second album as soon as possible. It's really amazing. I have yet to dance around to one of their songs, but I'll try it one day. Sounds like fun.
